Reefton Community Health and Wellingbeing Guide was originally created by Takiwā
Poutini to provide the community with an easy to use guide of relevant services and support in the area. This was handed over to Reefton Who Cares House in 2025 for us to provide to the community and we have nicknamed it The Reefton Handbook, we think this is a little easier to remember.
This is an amazing resource and we are so excited to have this and we hope the community will be too. A lot of hard work went into make this booklet and we want to say a huge thank you to Vicki Roper and her team for all their hard work putting this together. Their passion for their work and dedication to the communities they serve are evidenced in this booklet.

This booklet, whilst a great resource, can only be helpful if it is kept up-to-date. As we all know life marches on and things change, sometimes rapidly. This will mean our wonderful little booklet can become irrelevant if we don’t up date it. Whilst we will do our best to stay on top of it, we really do need the help of the community to do so. We might miss something that you might catch, so if you see one of the entries is wrong let us know! Has a service closed? Or is a activity on hiatus? Maybe something new has started up? Get in touch with us and let us know so we can do our best to make adjustments. With the help of the community we can keep The Reefton Handbook a powerful tool for years to come.
