Without our hospital or rest home, Reefton Who Cares INC. is becoming even more important to us. If you have a need for a place to go for help, this is your first port of call. If you need home visiting or transporting to medical appointments, we are here.
This place has an ethos to look after all of us and we never know when we may be the one in need.
Who Cares provides a food-bank, a community garden, budgeting help, shared lunch on Fridays, transport to medical and other appointments, computer assistance and so much more.
Please don’t take this wonderful caring facility for granted.
If we can trust and pool some of our financial resources together, it would help enormously.
10 Year Financial Plan
Presently we manage on less than $90,000 per year. This is very little, for all the services and facilities provided.
We have many volunteers and sometimes people both volunteer and receive services.
If you are a business, individual or family that could volunteer financially, that would be so helpful as grants are never certain and it is stressful wondering each year if the doors can remain open.
What if 90 businesses/families or individuals would commit to donating $1,000 per year for ten years?
Or 180 commit to donating $500 per year?
Or nine commit to $10,000 per year?
If 150 people could commit to $10 per a week that’s $78,000!
This is our place. Our resource. Our community. These funds go almost entirely into the services. We’re not building an asset that could be taken away. This is $90,000 per year to care for us.
Please consider becoming part of a stable, long term financial plan. Invest in our community!
